JayDay là gì?
JayDay is a free at-home tutor for children aged 6 to 12 who are new to Canada or the USA. It teaches English at the same time as the maths, language and science of their new school.
A grown-up sets the child up once. After that the child opens a daily mission of about 30 minutes, and the guide explains every instruction in the family's home language while the English being learned stays in English.

It suits a child who understands their home language well and is still building the language of the classroom. A grown-up needs about ten minutes once, to set the child up.
Being built: Québec families can already choose French as the language being learned, and the province's cycle model is in place, but the French curriculum content is not finished, so French practice is not available yet.

A short game-like assessment finds where the child actually is, JayDay maps that to their grade's curriculum, and each day it builds a five-stop mission at the level each subject needs.
- A short one-time assessment. It is a game, not a test. Nobody fails it.
- We map what we find against the curriculum for their grade in their new province or state.
- Your child sets the pace. Faster where they are strong, slower where they are not, and it changes as they change.
- A grown-up chooses goals and the child's interests, and both shape what shows up in the mission.
- Each subject finds its own level per child, so reading can be gentle while maths moves on.
- A daily mission has five stops and mixes listening, matching, ordering, colouring and saying words out loud.
- Parents get one plain sentence about the week and one suggested action — no charts to decode.

The Sketchbook keeps their colouring on the device. Feathers are earned only — they can never be bought, and there is nothing to buy.

- What ages is it for?
- Children aged 6 to 12. The tap targets, reading level and mission length are built for that age, and every instruction can be read aloud.
- Does my child need an account?
- No. Children never create accounts. A grown-up sets up a profile that lives in this browser on this device, so use the same device each day to keep the streak.
- What if we speak another language at home?
- Pick it at the top of any page. Thirteen home languages are supported: English, Thai, Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Arabic, Persian, Korean and French.
- Does it replace school?
- No. It is homework-sized practice built to match what the child's own school is teaching, so the two support each other.
- How long does it take each day?
- About 30 minutes: one mission of five short stops. A grown-up can shorten or lengthen the daily pace in the Parent Zone.
- What devices does it work on?
- Any modern web browser — phone, tablet or computer. It installs to the home screen, and once a mission is loaded most of it keeps working offline.
- What about Québec and French?
- Québec is set up with cycles instead of grades and French can be chosen as the language being learned, but the French curriculum content is still being built, so French practice is not available yet.
- How do I see my child's progress?
- The Parent Zone shows the week in one plain sentence with one suggested action, plus goals and settings. It is behind a grown-up gate.
- What happens to our data?
- It stays on your device. There is no child account, no advertising, nothing sold, and no learning record is uploaded — deleting the profile removes it.
